Qi Gong Energy Body Healer

  • Somatic Experiencing

As is widely known, “the body keeps the score”. Your body remembers everything that has ever happened to you. I am trained to work with your bodily sensations to gently navigate and heal your trauma, conditioning, and painful experiences. I attune with your nervous system to cultivate resilience and give you practices that you can use to regulate your nervous system when you become activated.

  • Medical Qi Gong

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that cleanses, strengthens, and balances the energy body. You lay fully clothed upon a massage table and most of the work is done off of the body. The experience is quite relaxing. I begin our session with a Qigong treatment because it cultivates safety and nervous system regulation, which facilitates our work together. I also offer Qi Gong treatments independent of coaching sessions.

  • Contemplative Coaching

You have all the answers you need within yourself, and if, together, we slow down and pay deep, respectful, compassionate attention to your thoughts, emotions, and sensations you will find the healing and change that you seek. All healing is self-healing, and working with a compassionate guide helps us to notice the breadcrumbs in the forest as we find our way.

  • The Destination Method

Created by Dr. Robert Dee McDonald, The Destination Method is a set of coaching tools designed to work with the mind in transformative ways. It is based upon the idea that our thoughts govern how we perceive our life, and the world, and that all behaviors have a positive intention. It is also an effective way to work with “parts”, or different aspects of the self that can be in conflict or driving unwanted thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

  • Shadow Work

Your dreams, and the very situations and patterns you dislike, are windows into the subconscious. The people in your life that you either demonize or idolize are projections that can be our greatest teachers. The sensations in your body that we interpret as thoughts and feelings can be windows into our conditioning and coping mechanisms. All of these things limit our freedom until we are willing to move toward them with love, compassion, and courage.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate.”

    -C.G. Jung

  • Spiritual Guidance

What is the point of life coaching?  Is it foolish to aspire to mystical alchemy: a transformative crucible? Is it more realistic to simply mitigate symptoms: to help you become less depressed, more functional, and just calm down? Is it enough to give you practical life skills and a place to vent?  While those are worthwhile objectives, and certainly a good start, I believe so much more is possible! I envision the creation of a sacred space where you are invited to transformation that leads to wholehearted self-actualization and a portal towards fulfillment of individual human potential. I assert that this ambitious transformation is only possible through spiritual awakening:

“We who think of ourselves as the living could really be called the dead.  We are the unawakened, living our lives in a dream.”     -Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

  • Meditation Instructor

While there are countless methods for healing and transformation, it is rare to truly awaken to your life without a mindfulness practice. I coach beginners to advanced alike, in either Buddhist, Taoist, or Christian methodologies. I also provide trauma informed modifications.
